Yep apparently the first Friday in June is National Doughnut Day in the USA! According to Wikipedia - "National Doughnut Day is on the first Friday of June each year. The holiday celebrates the doughnut, an edible, ring-shaped piece of dough which is deep-fried and sweetened. National Doughnut Day honors the Salvation Army "Lassies" of WWI.
