On the streets of central Lima there are no shortages of stalls and street sellers peddling their wares. Churros or fried sticks of dough are one of their specialities. And they are pretty good too!

Crispier than french fries and with a liberal dusting of sugar, they are a top snack, though extremely oily. I would complain that the emphasis is too much on crispness, as there is hardly any soft inner dough to chew on.

A lardy treat.
