I picked 6 of these up for a dollar at Coles in Glen Waverley Tonight. They were in the quick sale bin out the front. Understandably they were less than fresh. But for $1 it's pretty good value.

While small, and pale yellow in color, rather than the preferred golden brown, these little things are quite reasonable. They are not overbearingly sweet, and they smell pleasantly of cinnamon. Texture wise they are a fraction dry and this cakiness probably suits dunking in coffee for a little extra moisture.

Realistically has more in common with a simple sponge cake than a doughnut, but it goes OK. Strictly average across the board.
