Unlike a bakery, where one would perhaps buy a doughnut on an impulse, the Donut King is a place where one would go with the explicit purpose of buying a doughnut. And it is with this in mind where I express my great, great displeasure with this doughnut.

While looking typically appetising with pink icing, hundreds and thousands, and a nicely coloured dough one bite into this sugar bomb, sets of a sweetness explosion. The jam, when combined with the garish pink icing tasted like medicine and spilt out onto our fingers, leaving a sticky mess. The sweetness was quite overpowering and had the reviewer's struggling to finish.

Quite seriously this is a doughnut to put you off doughnuts. Perhaps Donut King needs to look at the lolly market to more appropriately use it vast stocks of sugar. Back to the drawing board on this one Donut King.
