When doughnut icing is covered in something described as "ganache" you know you're onto a good thing.

This beautifully presented doughnut has an excellent topping of white chocolate ganache with chocolate swirls. It really does look excellent.

The ganache, a mixture of white chocolate and cream gives the top of the doughnut a satisfying bite against the softness of the dough and the smoothness of the cherry chocolate mousse filling.

I was impressed.
