There is no better combination than apple and cinnamon. This doughnut is truly special. Lightly dusted and as soft as a pillow, one expects this doughnut to simply desicate upon the touch, such is it's delicacy. The coating is a fine, fine powder of brown cinnamon and sugar dust that dissolves effortlessly in your mouth.


Biting through the brown dusting and into the typical light and airy Dunkin Donuts dough you are met with a coup de grace. A sweet, silky smooth apple jam filling flows onto your tongue, completing this wonderful, wonderful taste sensation.


This trio of the dusting, the dough and the syrup complement each other so well that I have no hesitation in awarding PERFECT marks for texture. It's absolutely brilliant.


I would also have no hesitation in eating four of these at one sitting - the serving is far, far too small for a doughnut of such quality. But then again, perhaps such tastes should be savoured. As they say, good things come in small packages.
