Well what a superb sight this doughnut is for sore eyes. A nicely browned dough ball cut open, and filled with custard and jam. Gorgeous to look at - Full marks!

But how does it taste?

Very good. Aside from a fairly average dough (not airy or buttery enough), in terms of flavours this one of the best balanced doughnuts I have tasted. The light dusting of icing sugar combines with the bready dough, fluffy custard and sweet jam perfectly. Special mention must go to the custard filling. It is airy light and fluffy.

A really excellent doughnut in terms of presentation and taste.
