Mister Donut is a brilliant American doughnut chain that is extremely popular through Japan. They offer great, self-served, fresh doughnuts that at a price range of $0.90 USD to $2.00 offer genuine value (with unlimited refills of (bad compared to Australian standards) coffee. The first Mister Donut treat we have is The Golden Chocolate Butter Crunch. Quite unique in appearance, we have a chocolate ring dough that is gloriously covered by these yellow “pebbles” of crunchy butter. This style of doughnut is a fraction cakey for my liking, but the butter crunch bits on the outer contrast well with the soft cakey dough. Undersized, but a good doughnut experience.
