Well, I had been waiting for this for a while. Slightly let down by my first unfresh Krispy Kreme experience, I was dearly looking forward to my next chance.
With the timely opening of the new Melbourne store, I was in for a treat. Refraining from purchasing during the opening days, I went back a few days later . It was a lovely Friday morning and the doughnuts were fresh and smelling lovely.
The doughnuts appear gorgeously glazed - an almost mirror like finish. You bite through the krispy glaze and are met with a glorious soft dough. A perfectly simple combination - but it's the glaze that really does it.
