Much like the Glazed Chocolate Cake doughnut, this particular item is trying to be something that it is not. Again, cake like in texture it is trying to be a blueberry muffin not a doughnut. Sure it's got all the Krispy Kreme signatures - the Krispy Glaze and distinctive used-type shape, but it still wants to taste like a blueberry muffin. We are interested in a situation where the dough is the ero, and it this case, while it takes OK, you'd be better off buying a proper blueberry muffin.
