In Old Chinatown in Peru I stumbled across a Chicharrone (place which fries stuff) selling these doughnuts. Having just come off a large chinese meal, I forewent consuming straight away, instead waiting until I got home. The filling, manjar, a caramel/choc Peruvian speciality was excellent.
However the doughnut was fairly heavy in texture and very oily, which upset the dusting of icing sugar - affecting it's appearance significantly. Not bad, but not great either. My host HH enjoyed them however!
