Can be purchased from Coles, 7-11 and notably, most Train Stations

PRICE: $1.50 AUD (Cheaper at Supermarkets)

Perhaps unfairly maligned, the Mr Donut Jam Ball doughnut with it's sweet jam filling, and sugar dusting perhaps receives unfair press, as it is sold (often at train stations) amoungst other items of dubious quality - such as the battered sausage. However I have always found it's almost crispy outer and soft, floury centre hard to resist. For $1.50 it's a fine, fine doughnut.

Good Value

For the price, an exceptional Doughnut. I've often indulged. I quite agree about the nice chewiness on the palate - amazing how something so soft can also be so satisfyingly chewy.

These are available in Germany aswell and are known as berlinas. I was there about 2 years ago, I also agree it's amazing how something so soft can be so satisfyingly chewy!
