This small, but well outfitted bakery was absolutely packed when I went in. A good sign perhaps, and looking into their clean glass cabinets I found my quarry. A wonderful golden brown, choc coated doughnut. It looked marvellous sitting there, and feeling it as I took it out of the bag it was oh so soft.
Things boded well as I took a bite into the soft dough and generous gluey icing. The dough wasn't light, but it was beautifully soft, like a marshmallow and perfectly complemented the chocolatey icing.
The only let down was the bakers jam, which seems to be the common element running through these doughnuts. Use of the jam that Brumby's uses, and you've got yourself a 80+ ranking!
Highly Recommended.
