The Patonko is a very basic snack that you can get at most of the Hawker Markets in Thailand. Made from a simple batter they are deep fried in front of you and served on paper. You can drizzle the patonko with sugar or even condensed milk.

It is a genuinely nice treat and the dough, in this case is definitely the hero. This is a doughnut at it's most basic and most unrefined. A simple flour batter - deep fried.

Not too bad.
