LOCATION: Ronda Andalucia Afghanistan
Street Stall "buñuelos" by Orbie
PRICE: 1EUR for a cup
The streets of Ronda are some of the most picturesque in Southern Spain. Walking on from the glorious Plaza de Toros, I came across a quirky little stall that cooked and sold doughnuts. As an intrepid doughnut reporter I was obliged to partake.

However - I was forced to wait, as the gentleman running the store had to mix up some dough, and rather amusingly pick a few hairs out of a lump of lard, before slotting it in his deep frying machine...I'm not sure what made me more uncomfortable, the fact that I was going to eat some lard, or that there was hair on it...
He loaded up the dough dispenser and before long I was stocking up on some golden balls of goodness. They were hot light, and perfectly doused in a rich caramel sauce. The extremely crispy outer went perfectly with the light, battery dough. A great snack.
