I was down at Knox in Melbourne's outer east and decided to pop through the shopping centre in the hope of getting my weekly doughnut fix. I found it at Royal Donuts - but it wasn't this one.


Passionfruit doughnuts can be an interesting experience. This particular one looked great, but it was lacking in the dough and icing department - pretty disapointing really. The dough was soft but too heavy (perhaps not sweet enough) and unfortunently the icing (while clearly made from passionfruit - hence the seeds) tasted a little artificial. Some improvement required.
